Thomas Osterkorn is an Austrian journalist born on December 26, 1953, in Linz. He began his career as a volunteer at Landeszeitung für die Lüneburger Heide from 1973 to 1975 before becoming the local head there until 1979. He then worked as a police reporter for Hamburger Abendblatt. Osterkorn gained attention in 1986 when he acquired private images of the notorious Werner Pinzner. He later became an editor at Stern and rose to editor-in-chief roles until 2018. He also founded a campaign against right-wing violence and promotes reading initiatives.
