Thomas Petersson is a former Swedish Lutheran minister, born on April 8, 1968, in Motala, Sweden. He was ordained in 1992 and served in several parishes, including Söderköping and Linköping. He was the priest of the Swedish Victoria Congregation in Berlin from 2006 and became the cathedral dean of Växjö in 2011. Petersson was consecrated as Bishop of Visby in June 2018 but was relieved of his duties in January 2022 after a breach of his ordination vows due to an extramarital relationship.
