Thomas Schleusing (1937-1993) was a German illustrator and cartoonist born in Chemnitz. He studied under Werner Klemke and Klaus Wittkugel from 1956 to 1961. After his studies, he became a freelance graphic designer in Berlin and was a member of the artist group 'Gruppe 4,' known for their work on the graphic redesign of the Berlin Metropol-Theater. Schleusing also designed covers for the youth magazine 'neues leben' and illustrated for the 'Wochenpost.' He faced challenges after German reunification, leading to a tragic end to his life.
