Thomas Stewart was an Irish bishop and missionary born on August 8, 1925, in Woodford, County Galway, Ireland. He was ordained as a priest for the Missionary Society of St. Columban on December 21, 1950, and sent to Korea in 1954, where he served as the Vicar General of Chuncheon. He was appointed bishop of Chuncheon on February 1, 1966, and was consecrated bishop on May 11, 1966. He resigned on May 21, 1994, due to health reasons, and passed away from a heart attack in October 1994.
