Thony Belizaire (1955–2013) was a prominent Haitian photographer and photojournalist who worked with Agence France Presse for over 25 years. He covered significant historical events in Haiti, including the 2010 earthquake, and was known for his dedication to photography and storytelling. Belizaire founded the Union of Haitian Journalists and Photographers and continued to create impactful photo essays until his death. His work contributed greatly to the understanding of Haiti's social and political landscape during his lifetime. Belizaire passed away at 54 after battling health issues.
