Thor Nis Christiansen was an American-Danish serial killer from Solvang, California. He committed his first three murders in late 1976 and early 1977, targeting young women with similar appearances in Isla Vista, California. His crimes sparked significant protests against violence towards women and called for safer transportation options for youth in Isla Vista. In 1979, he murdered a young Black woman from Los Angeles. His fifth victim survived after being shot in the head and later identified him in a bar in Los Angeles.
