Þorgeir Jónsson was an Icelandic track and field athlete specializing in throws, high jump, and pentathlon. Born in 1903, he competed for ÍK and Ármann Reykjavik. In 1927, he participated in the first Icelandic Athletics Championship, winning gold medals in shot put and discus, setting championship records. In the 1928 championships, he improved his shot put record and continued his success in discus. He also excelled in high jump and pentathlon during his career.
