Thorleif Enger is a Norwegian businessperson and former CEO of Yara International. He holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado. Enger began his career at Royal Dutch Shell before joining Norsk Hydro, where he held various directorial positions in the oil and gas sector. Following the demerger of Hydro Agri in 2004, he became the CEO of Yara International, retiring in 2008. He has also been president of the International Fertilizer Industry Association and serves on several boards, demonstrating his significant influence in the industry.
