Thormod Henriksen (1928–2020) was a Norwegian physicist and professor known for his research on how radiation affects humans. After completing his degree in natural sciences at the University of Oslo in 1955, he conducted research at Radiumhospitalet on the biological effects of radioactive radiation. He gained his doctorate in 1963, focusing on substances that could protect against radiation. Henriksen became a professor of biophysics at the University of Oslo in 1980. He was noted for his controversial views on the Chernobyl disaster and ozone layer assessment.
