Thorstein Aaby was a Norwegian guitarist born on April 3, 1971, in Porsgrunn. He co-founded the progressive metal band Pagan’s Mind in August 2000, contributing to their albums 'Infinity Divine' and 'Celestial Entrance'. In 2003, he left the band to join Smalltown Rockets. Aaby also played on a Kiss tribute album and performed as the guitarist and singer for the Mötley Crüe cover band Wildside. He passed away on July 24, 2007, at the age of 36 after a long illness.
