Tiiu Valgemäe, born on March 17, 1947, in Tallinn, Estonia, is a renowned figure skater and coach. She completed her education at Tallinna 7. Keskkool in 1965 and the Minski Kehakultuuri Instituut in 1970. A two-time champion of the Estonian SSR in singles (1964, 1965) and a two-time champion of the Belarusian SSR (1966, 1967), she later coached at various institutions and founded her own skating school in Estonia in 2009. Her notable students include athletes who have competed at the world level.
