Tim Palmer is a British physicist, meteorologist, and professor who is a member of the Royal Society. He studied at the University of Bristol. Palmer has received numerous awards, including the Dirac Prize of the Institute of Physics (2014), the Carl-Gustaf Rossby Research Medal (2010), and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (2003). He was also appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
