Tirath Ram Amla (1913-2009) was an influential Indian politician and businessman from Jammu and Kashmir. He served four terms in the Rajya Sabha from 1967 to 1991 as a member of the Indian National Congress Party. Amla was known for his significant contributions to the business landscape of the Kashmir Valley, including the establishment of Hotel Broadway and Broadway Cinema in Srinagar. He was married to Satyadevi and had three children. Amla passed away in New Delhi on January 22, 2009.
