Titu Stoicheci was a Romanian brigadier general and the oldest war veteran in Oltenia. He participated in significant battles during World War II, including Stalingrad, and returned to a teaching career after the war. He served as a teacher and later as principal at the Zegaia school until retirement in 1971. Post-1990, he was promoted through military ranks, culminating in the rank of brigadier general in 2013. He was celebrated for his service and longevity, passing away on October 27, 2017.
