Tjhie Tjay Ing (26 March 1935 – 10 May 2016) was a prominent Confucian religious leader in Indonesia, serving as the last Chairman of the Matakin Religious Council. After completing his education in a Chinese school and a Christian junior high school, he moved to Solo in 1954 to study at a Christian institution. Throughout his life, he was known for his tireless efforts to advocate for the recognition of Confucianism as an official religion in Indonesia.
