Toby Towson is an American gymnast and dancer known for portraying Barkley the dog on Sesame Street. He was the NCAA Gymnastics Champion in 1968 and 1969 and has coached Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes. Towson has directed the Musawwir Gymnastic Dance Company and has taught dance in Maryland. Since 2010, he performs in an alphabet dancer assembly show and resides in Boonsboro, Maryland with his wife and three children.
