Todd Bol was an American educator and entrepreneur best known as the founder of Little Free Library, a nonprofit organization promoting free book exchanges. He created the first Little Free Library in 2009 in memory of his mother using wood from his garage door. The initiative grew rapidly, establishing over 75,000 libraries across 88 countries by 2018. Bol also worked as a public school teacher and founded Global Scholarship Alliance to provide nursing scholarships. He died from pancreatic cancer at age 62.
