Born on July 9, 1962, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, he later relocated to San Francisco in 1995 to focus on his art career. Prior to becoming a full-time author, Parr worked as a flight attendant. His creative work aims to inspire and entertain children through vibrant illustrations and positive messages, and he made a mark in children's entertainment with the premier of ToddWorld in November 2004.
