Todor Popov was a Bulgarian composer and public figure born on January 23, 1921, in Dryanovo. He graduated from the State Musical Academy in 1949, studying under notable composers such as Parashkev Hadjiev and Pancho Vladigerov. Much of his work was specifically written for the 'Bodra Smyana' choir. He served as secretary of the Union of Bulgarian Composers from 1962 to 1965 and was a member of the IX Grand National Assembly. He passed away on February 2, 2000, in Sofia. A street in Sofia is named after him.
