Tokihiro Nakamura is a Japanese politician who has served as the governor of Ehime Prefecture. He graduated from Keio University in 1982 and entered politics shortly thereafter, joining the Ehime Prefectural Parliament in 1984. After a period in national politics, he returned to local government as the mayor of Matsuyama, winning re-election multiple times. Following the resignation of Governor Moriyuki Kato in 2010, Nakamura was elected as governor, winning decisively with broad support and has been re-elected in 2014, 2018, and 2022 with significant majorities.
