Thomas Malcolm McGuigan (1921–2013) was a prominent New Zealand politician from the Labour Party, serving as Minister of Railways and Minister of Electricity. Born in Christchurch, he fought in WWII before entering politics, driven by a desire to address class disparities. He was elected to Parliament in 1969 for the Lyttelton electorate and held various government positions, but was defeated in 1975. After his political career, he engaged in soccer administration and ran a management consultancy. McGuigan was recognized for his public service with a prestigious honor before passing away in 2013.
