Tom Shaka, born Sciacca on April 9, 1953, in Middletown, Connecticut, is an Italian-American blues musician. He learned to play guitar at age 11 and traveled throughout the USA during his youth. In 1976, he moved to Europe, working first in Amsterdam and later in London as a professional musician. He gained significant experience in the European jazz and blues scene, particularly as a house musician in Amsterdam's Red Light District. Shaka gained fame in Germany in the 1970s through performances at the iconic Onkel Pö venue in Hamburg and currently lives in Lüneburger Heide.
