Toma Grigorie, born on May 5, 1940, in Golenți, Calafat, Dolj, Romania, is a Romanian poet, essayist, prose writer, playwright, and literary critic. He made his debut in 1966 with the magazine Ramuri and published his first book, 'Visele cuvintelor', in 1981. Grigorie served as an associate professor at the Faculty of Letters at the University of Craiova and is a member of the Romanian Writers' Union. He currently works as an editor for the magazine Autograf MJM, which is affiliated with the Craiova branch of the Writers' Union.
