Tomas Altamirano Duque (January 10, 1934 - March 3, 2021) was a Panamanian politician who served as the First Vice President of Panama from September 1, 1994, to September 1, 1999, under President Ernesto Pérez Balladares. He faced legal issues in the 1960s and was pardoned by military ruler Omar Torrijos. Altamirano was also the publisher of the Panama City Star and La Estrella de Panama, the latter being the largest Spanish-language newspaper in Panama in 1989. His son, Tomas Altamirano Mantovani, also entered politics.
