He studied Classical Philology at the University of Santiago de Compostela and translates from English and Finnish into Galician. González Ahola co-founded the editorial company Urco in 2007 and the publishing house Contos Estraños in 2011. He is known for both his narrative works such as 'Galiza mutante' and children's literature under the pseudonym Martinho Terrafría, as well as numerous translations, including works by H.P. Lovecraft and Arto Paasilinna.
