After living in the United States during her middle and high school years, she graduated from Obirin University. Initially, she worked as a contract caster at NHK's Oita Broadcasting Station, later joining TV Aichi, where she served as both an announcer and a reporter. Ogata has since transitioned to freelance work, hosting programs and providing narration. She is currently involved in several shows, including as a caster for iTSCOM and TV Kanagawa.
