Tomohiko Kira was a Japanese guitarist born on December 6, 1959. He was the leader of the band ZABADAK and composed the original music for the cult horror film Evil Dead Trap in 1988. Notably, he contributed guitar performances for the soundtracks of the video games Xenogears and Chrono Cross, where he played the opening and ending themes respectively. He recorded an album with Noriko Mitose, the singer of Chrono Cross's ending theme. Outside music, he enjoyed collecting insects, specifically butterflies and beetles. Kira passed away on July 3, 2016.
