Tomohisa Manaka is a Japanese poet and weather forecaster born on June 2, 1964, in Ibaraki Prefecture. He is a lecturer at the Asahi Culture Center and a judge for the Hyogo Literary Arts section of Mainichi Shimbun. Manaka graduated from Kyoto University, earning a master's degree in geophysics. He became a member of the poetry group 'Tō' in 1991 and has won several awards, including the 46th Modern Poets Association Award for his first poetry collection 'Amamitsu' in 2002 and the 15th Terayama Shūji Poetry Award in 2010.
