She began her music career in her teens with experiences in commercial recordings and FM radio hosting. She debuted in 1994 under Pony Canyon after winning an audition called 'Lips.' In 1997, she moved to Avex Planning & Development and participated in the 'VOCALAND2' project, leading to singles produced by Toshiki Kadomatsu. She became independent in 1999, formed the unit 'GRUNION' in 2001, and has contributed lyrics for other artists.
