Tony Fadell is a Lebanese-American engineer in software engineering known for co-inventing the iPod and iPhone. He joined Apple in 2001, eventually becoming senior vice president of iPod hardware by 2006, working closely with Steve Jobs on product development. Fadell graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and left Apple in 2010 to co-found a private company. He co-founded Nest Labs in 2010, which was acquired by Google in 2014 for $3.2 billion. Fadell resigned from Google in 2016 and now leads Future Shape.
