Toomas Kümmel, born on April 28, 1960, in Pärnu, is an Estonian journalist. He graduated in 1984 from the University of Tartu with a degree in geography. Kümmel has contributed to the magazine Heinakuu and the weekly newspapers Eesti Ekspress and Eesti Aeg, as well as the daily newspaper Eesti Päevaleht. He hosted the program 'Toomas Kümmeli majandussõprade klubi' on ETV. In 2009, Kümmel served as the mayor of Jõelähtme and was a member of the Isamaa ja Res Publica Liit from December 28, 2008, to February 15, 2012.
