Antonius Lambertus Gerardus (Toon) Steeghs was a Dutch politician born on April 28, 1923. He served as a member of the KVP and later the CDA. Steeghs began his political career at Gendringen's municipal secretariat and became the mayor of Sevenum in 1960, later becoming the mayor of Horst until his retirement in 1988. He briefly served as acting mayor of Heythuysen and Baexem until their merger in 1991. He passed away on November 23, 2007, at the age of 84. A street in Horst is named after him.
