Torbjørn Ruste was a Norwegian ski jumper born on December 9, 1929, and passed away on July 31, 2003. Before pursuing ski jumping, he was an active football player, representing Norway in junior national teams as a goalkeeper in 1947. He transitioned from football to ski jumping and had notable success in the Four Hills Tournament during the 1954/55 season, winning events in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen. Ruste concluded his sports career in 1967 after competing in various championships, including a 6th place finish in the Norwegian Championship in 1955.
