Torsten Olof Ljungberg (1903–1973) was a Swedish civil engineer who graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in 1927. He started his career working for civil engineer Robert Mossberg and later for AB Fundament. Ljungberg became the head of the road and water construction department at Stockholm Technical Institute in 1939, the same year he began consulting. He was a member of the Swedish Society of Engineers and married Märit Hedberg in 1942. They had four children: Agneta, Anders, Birgitta, and Mikael.
