Suzuki contributed to the second series of the magazine 'Shiki' and later became its editor. In 1939, he founded and led the literary magazine 'Yama no Ki' and later took charge of 'Kigi' from 1990. He taught at Meiji University, Aoyama Gakuin Women's University, and Utsunomiya Bunsei College. He passed away on December 9, 2006, at the age of 88.
