Tōru Toyoda (January 23, 1968 - July 26, 2018) was a former executive and death row inmate of the Aum Shinrikyo cult. He was born in Kakogawa, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Toyoda held the holy name Vajirapāṇi within the organization, which is known for its controversial activities and the Tokyo subway sarin attack. His criminal activities led to his eventual arrest and sentencing.
