Toshiko Saiki (1919-2017) was a prominent Japanese anti-nuclear activist and a survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. For many years, she volunteered in the cleaning activities of the Atomic Bomb Memorial Tower, where she was affectionately known as the 'Guardian of the A-Bomb Memorial' and 'Mother of Hiroshima'. She dedicated her life to sharing her experiences as a survivor to contribute to anti-nuclear and peace movements, and her testimonies are widely used in peace education. Her maiden name was Mosoro.
