Toshimoto Takeshima (竹島 紀元) was a Japanese editor and film director born in February 1926 and passing away on July 26, 2015. He was the former editor-in-chief of the magazines 'Railway Journal' and 'Travel and Railways,' and served as the founding president of the publishing company that produced these magazines. He is also known as the person who coined the term 'Blue Train' in Japan.
