Toshio Shōji, born on January 25, 1941, in Nagasaki Prefecture, is a Japanese manga artist who began drawing manga in his early teenage years. After graduating from junior high school, he worked in a coal mine while creating manga at night. He became active as a manga artist around 1962 and is best known for his long-running series 'Cycle Yaro,' which was serialized from 1971 to 1979. As of 2019, he is in retirement. His works often reflect themes of adventure and daily life.
