Toshiya Murakoshi is a Japanese photographer born on May 22, 1980, in Sukagawa, Fukushima Prefecture. He dropped out of Bunka Gakuen University and graduated from the Japanese Professional School of Photography. He has received several awards, including the New Photographer Award from the Japan Photographic Society in 2011 and the Sagamihara New Photographer Encouragement Award in 2015. Murakoshi established the exhibition and publishing platform 'TAP' in 2009 and later left in 2015. His works are held by major institutions, and he teaches at Musashino Art University and the Japanese Professional School of Photography.
