Trebor Jay Tichenor was an American Ragtime pianist born on January 28, 1940, in Laclede Groves, Webster Groves, St. Louis County. He began playing Ragtime at the age of 13 and co-founded the St. Louis Ragtimers in 1961. Tichenor released his debut album, 'King Of Folk Ragtime,' in 1973, followed by 'Tempus Ragorum' in 1993. He hosted a radio show, co-founded 'Ragtime Review,' and was a music expert, especially on Scott Joplin. Tichenor contributed to several recordings between 1963 and 1993 and possessed a significant collection of Ragtime music.
