Sir Trefor Alfred Morris, born on December 22, 1934, served as Chief Inspector of Constabulary from 1993 to 1996. He was educated at Ducie Technical High School and the University of Manchester. Morris began his career in 1955 with the Manchester City Police, advancing to Chief Superintendent before the formation of the Greater Manchester Force. He became the Assistant Chief Constable in 1976, later transferring to Hertfordshire Constabulary as Deputy Chief Constable in 1979 and then serving as Chief Constable from 1984 to 1990.
