Carl 'Trooper' Taylor is an American college football coach born on February 20, 1970. He is currently the associate head coach and running backs coach at Texas A&M University, following Mike Elko's return as head coach. Previously, Taylor served as an assistant coach at Auburn University from 2009 to 2012, where he was the assistant head coach and wide receivers coach. Before his tenure at Auburn, he was co-offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State. Taylor has extensive experience coaching wide receivers in the Southeastern and Big 12 conferences.
