He is the founder of the Shiraishi Branch of the Itto-ryu Karate Do and the president of the Okinawa Ryukyu Suisen Kenpō Preservation Society. With a martial arts career spanning 67 years, he has trained under notable masters such as Hirokatsu Toyama, Masahiro Mabuni, and Nishikawa Haman. He specializes in the traditional karate kata known as Super Rinnpei (Hyakurenjō) as well as the classical Goju Ryu Gojū Shiho (Uususu).
