Tsuneyuki Ōi, born on December 15, 1948, in Yamaguchi, Japan, is a prominent haiku poet. He joined the Ritsumeikan University Haiku Club in 1967, studied under Akio Kabuto, and contributed to the haiku journal 'Uzu.' In 1980, he co-founded the magazine 'Ki' and later became the chief editor of 'Haiku Space' until 1993. Notable works include the poem 'Will the needle shine tonight?' He is a member of the Modern Haiku Association.
