Tsutomu Aragaki is a Japanese tenor born in 1952 in Yomitan, Okinawa. He lost his eyesight shortly after birth due to faulty medical drops. After his parents' divorce, he was raised by his maternal grandmother until her death when he was 14. A hymn he heard led him to a church where he was adopted by the minister. He became a Baptist minister and a singer, and his song "Sugar Cane Field" gained notable success in 2002. His life story was made into a Fuji TV movie titled 'Mada Minu Chichi e, Haha e'.
