Tsvyatko Barchovski was a prominent Bulgarian basketball player and coach, known for his achievements with the national team, including a 5th place finish in the 1956 Olympics and gold medals in the 1957 World Student Games. As a coach, he led CSKA Septemvriysko Zname to a championship title in 1977 and later developed a strong team in Vidin during the 1990s. Barchovski faced a legal incident related to a nightclub tragedy in 2001, and his family continues the basketball tradition. He suffered a stroke in 2012 and passed away in 2019.
