Tupuna Vaissi was a Finnish children's author and visual artist, born as Sirkka Helinä Vaissi on February 26, 1941, in Turku and passed away on May 12, 2012, in Helsinki. She graduated high school in 1962 and became an arts teacher in 1966, though never worked in that profession. Instead, she became a television announcer and produced children's programs and family plays. Notably, she narrated and illustrated stories for 'Pienten piiri' from 1966 to 1970, wrote plays, illustrated children's books, and acted in a film in 1986.
