Turgay Ciner, born in 1956 in Hopa, Artvin Province, is a Turkish businessman and the founder of the Ciner Group, which has investments in Turkey, the UK, and the USA. The Ciner Group operates in four primary industries: energy and mining, glass and chemicals, shipping and maritime, and media. In 2013, Ciner acquired Show TV from the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey. He is also the owner of the Kasımpaşa Sports Club.
