She created numerous oil paintings and was a founding member of the Janakkala Art Association. Leino authored children's books, including 'Katinpoika Manun seikkailut' and 'Häät Pelto-Hiirulassa.' Her naive artistic style focused on themes from her own life, depicting cats, flowers, and playful imagination. A self-taught painter, she began working with oils in 1965 and produced a significant body of work until her death on September 20, 2002.
